I know what you're thinking;

"Pervert!"

And sure, maybe a little bit but nothing crazy, you know?

No, the reason this song is called "Young Rectums" is because I saw the words "Young Rectums" written on a sign as Eve and I were leaving Pfeiffer Beach on the day I now like to refer as The Greatest Day (it was a good day), and I was like, "That's weird. That's a very weird thing to write on a sign." I took a photo of it which you can see up over there.

It really stuck with me for a while.

"Young Rectums? What does it mean?"

And then, fast-forward way months later...

I found myself in Brooklyn as an extra in a commercial for a show that wasn't even airing in this country, and at some point while I was standing around in the parking lot I looked up and what did I see spraypainted onto the side of one of the buildings next door?

Yes. "Young Rectums."

Are they following me?
Am I following them?
What does it all mean?

I have no idea.

But also on The Greatest Day, I came up with this guitar riff thingy and to me it sounded 70's rock-ish.

And you know what 70's rockers loved?
That's right.
Young Rectums.

So without further adieu, I give you Young Rectums.
